NOTE: The charge will show up as Alabama Interactive. They are the provider of electronic government services for the State of Alabama. All dates must be entered in mm/dd/yyyy format (i.e. 04/12/2004). Please read about the requirements for the service before proceeding and once you have successfully completed the application process you will receive a Confirmation number If you are using an Apple computer and are planning to complete an online application, we recommend you use a browser other than Safari. ABN Individual CE Record - Nurses with a permanent license can view, enter, and edit Continuing Education hours that have been earned. Actively Deployed Nurses - Nurses, who are actively deployed, click here. CNS/CRNA - to submit an initial application for a CNS/CRNA license click here. Fees and Fines - Nurses can now pay their fees and fines online using a credit card. (Note: A transaction fee of 4% will be applied to pay the fines and fees online.) Licensure by Examination: - Applicants who need to take NCLEX. Applying online and printing your receipt page will allow you to access ABN online results. You must wait until you graduate and you must have an Official Transcript sent to us before your application will be processed. If you answer "Yes" to any of the legal background questions, we must have a detailed explanation and all certified records (court, treatment, military, or other boards of nursing). If disclosure has been previously made to the Board, please indicate when. Send to the attention of Robert. In addition to applying to us, you must apply to take the NCLEX examination and may do so here. Licensure by Endorsement: - Nurses licensed in another state(s) who wish to acquire an Alabama License. An RN license that is issued between now and 08/31/2010 will receive an active license with an expiration date of 12/31/2010. An LPN license that is issued between now and 08/31/2009 will receive an active license with an expiration date of 12/31/2009. The requirements for endorsement are:
All required contact hours may be obtained from the following activities: workshops, seminars, classroom, web casts, internet, intranet, home study, continuing education journals, and pod casts. Contact hours should be no older than 24 months from the date we receive your application. FAX copies of your CE certificates to (334) 242-0541 attn: Wendy. For further information regarding continuing education or to search for CE Providers and browse a list of upcoming opportunities please refer to the Continuing Ed section of the Board's website. If you are requesting a temporary permit, you must mail a notarized copy of your current license. A temporary permit allows an applicant to go to work for 90 days while they meet the requirements for permanent licensure. If you answer "Yes" to any of the legal questions, you must mail a detailed explanation and all certified records (court, treatment, military, or other boards of nursing). Answering “yes” to a legal question will also delay the issuing of a temporary permit. There is no timetable for issuing a license. A license will only be issued when all requirements are completed.

Verification of Alabama License - Order and pay for verification of your Alabama nursing license. This is the verification required by other State Boards when you are endorsing into their state.

process your request and mail verification of your AL license
direct to the Board of Nursing or agency that you request. If you
complete this process, you won’t need to mail in a request, form or fee. Name/Address Change and Duplicate License - Make a name or address change or order a duplicate license. NOTE: You must select Duplicate License and pay the $25.00 in order to receive a new card. If you make a name change it will not be processed until we receive appropriate documentation in our office. You may FAX a copy of marriage certificate, divorce decree, etc. to (334) 242-0541 attn: Brenda. Duplicate license may take up to 14 days to be received. For proper identification, please include your license number or Social Security Number on all documents faxed or mailed to us. Status Check -Subscribers Only - Receive automatic updates on license status for nurses employed by your facility. Mail Label Download - Download a mailing label file of your specification. |
